IBPS Common Written Exam for Probationary Officers (PO)/ Management Trainees (MT) in 19 Public Sector Banks will be held on 18-09-2011 (Sunday).
IBPS Probationary Officers (PO)/ Management Trainees (MT) Written Test Pattern
In the IBPS PO/ MTs Common written exam there will be two types of tests viz. (a) Objective (b) Descriptive Paper. IBPS Probationary Officers (PO)/ MTs 2011 common written exam – Objective Paper consists Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness & Computer Knowledge Questions. There will be Negative Marking/ penalty (one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks) for wrong answer marked by you in the IBPS PO/ MT 2011 objective tests. There are five alternatives in every question of a test.
DESCRIPTIVE PAPER: This is to check your proficiency in English Language. It would consist of test on English Composition comprising letter writing, essay writing, précis writing etc. The time for answering this paper is 60 minutes, total marks are 50 and weightage for the same will be 25.
Candidate has to qualify in the IBPS PO/ MTs 2011 Descriptive Paper. Marks obtained in Descriptive Paper shall also be reckoned for merit ranking.
The candidates shall be required to qualify in each test as per IBPS CWE 2011 cut-off marks determined on the basis of performance in each test.
