Applications are invited for the TANCET 2012 to be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu in the Last week of May 2012, from candidates who seek admission to M.B.A., M.C.A., and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2012 – 2013 offered at University Departments of Anna University, Anna University of Technology Chennai, Anna University of Technology Coimbatore, Anna University of Technology Madurai, Anna University of Technology Tiruchirappalli, Anna University of Technology Tirunelveli, Govt. Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Govt. Quota seats in self – financing Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges / standalone Institutions.
TANCET 2012 Exam Date : Last week of May, 2012.
Some Universities and Self – Financing Engineering Colleges may opt to admit the candidates on the basis of TANCET 2012.
Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test however, admission is subject to the eligibility conditions of the admitting authority / University.

M.B.A Last week of May, 2012 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon
M.C.A Last week of May, 2012 02.30 p.m. to 04.30 p.m.
M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Last week of May, 2012 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon
Eligibility for TANCET 2012 :
TANCET MBA 2012 : A Pass* in any recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years duration in 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 years pattern ( or ) any recognised Bachelor’s degree with 10 + 3 years diploma +3 years pattern ( or ) B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm degree.
TANCET MCA 2012 : A Pass* in any recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 years pattern in any discipline with +2 level Mathematics ( or ) any recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in 10 + 2 + 3 years pattern in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as any one of the subjects.
TANCET M.Tech. / M.E. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. : Details of the common eligibility criteria are available in the “Information & Instructions Booklet” for TANCET 2012 to be issued during Spot Registration and also in the website : http://www.annauniv.edu.
*Minimum eligibility marks will be indicated by the admitting authorities concerned in their TANCET 2012 notification for TANCET admission.
Note :
i) M. Sc. ( 2 years ) course is not eligible for admission to M.E. ( Computer Science ) related courses.
ii) Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in Degree Courses are not eligible except, B.E. / B.Tech. degree.
iii) B.E. / B.Tech. degrees obtained through Distance Education Mode / Week end Courses are not eligible.
Those who are appearing for final year / semester examination of the above qualifying degree in April / May 2012 can also apply for TANCET Exam 2012.
