University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, Kolkata, West Bengal, is a state government administered affiliating and research university. The University has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University offers high-class undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree programs via its various affiliated colleges and institutes located across the state.
