BPS Probationary Officers (PO)/ Management Trainees (MT) Written Test Pattern

In the IBPS PO/ MTs Common written exam there will be two types of tests viz. (a) Objective (b) Descriptive Paper. IBPS Probationary Officers (PO)/ MTs 2011 common written exam – Objective Paper consists Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness & Computer Knowledge Questions. There will be Negative Marking/ penalty (one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks) for the wrong answers marked by you in the IBPS PO/ MT 2021 objective tests. There are five alternatives in every question of a test.

DESCRIPTIVE PAPER: This is to check your proficiency in the English Language. It would consist of tests on English Composition comprising letter writing, essay writing, précis writing, etc. The time for answering this paper is 60 minutes, the total marks are 50, and the weightage for the same will be 25.

The candidate has to qualify in the IBPS PO/ MTs 2021 Descriptive Paper. Marks obtained in Descriptive Paper shall also be reckoned for merit ranking.
