This year NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) will conduct the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X. On the basis of the National Talent Search Examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. The amount of scholarship will be Rs.500/- per month.National Talent Search Selection in two-stage process for award of scholarship, in Stage-I, selection will be done by States and Union territories through a written examination. Students, who qualify Stage- I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT. All students of Class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage -I examination.
Dates for submission of application form and conduct of examination:
Stage-I (State)
  • Last Date for Submission of NTS Application Form: 31st August, 2012
  • Examination in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands: 17th November, 2012
  • Examination in All other places: 18th November, 2012
Stage-II (National)
  • Examination in All States and Union Territories: 12th May, 2013 (Sunday)
The examination will be held in Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and English languages at all district head quarters between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. NTS examination fee is Rs.100 and applications can be downloaded from www.ncert.nic.in or from www.bseap.org and iwwh also.
