APSET is a State level Eligibility
Test and it’s based on the same pattern of the CSIR/UGC National
Eligibility Test (NET). State will conduct SET after obtain
accreditation from UGC only. In state level recruitment to Lecturers and
Assistant Professors in universities and state degree colleges APSET
and UGC NET qualifiers are only eligible candidate. Compare to UGC NET,
in APSET no changes in exam curriculum and syllabus only some subject’s
exam in Telugu medium will give cushion to Telugu medium candidates in
getting APSET eligibility.
UGC NET qualifiers get two types of advantages, JRF and Lectureship, in
AP SET its works only within, qualified candidates in SET eligible to
Lectureship in AP.
